Task: Create Contract Summary
The objective of this task is to create the Contract Summary, containing the most important contractual aspects to make sure that all resources involved in the execution of both the transition program and the continuous service delivery understand what Capgemini contracted.

Main Description
This Contract Summary artifact works as a quick reference with which the Capgemini resources can easily check the main contractual obligations without having to read through all contract documents each time. This Contract Summary should also contain any contractual milestones, related dates or events often referred to as the ‘contract’s calendar’.

In the artifact Contract Summary special focus should be on what Key Performance Indicators could potentially trigger a penalty. Also services that would need special registration of costs or special upfront approval of the Client need to be clearly marked. Unfortunately Clients and Capgemini sometimes use the same term for different things or use different terms for the same thing. As an attachment to the Contract Summary artifact, containing a comparison between the terminology used by the Client and the terminology used within Capgemini, as applicable, is very useful to avoid miscommunication during service delivery.

The Operational Level Agreements (OLAs) made in the task Create Operational Level Agreements are also a kind of summary. That summary is focused on whom to contact when, why and in what way, using what information. The contract summary or quick reference is a more static type of document, only to be updated if a contract change has been implemented. The OLAs are more dynamic, operational type of documents.
